Address of Crashpad Lodges (Yr Helfa)
Llanberis , Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 4UW, Grid ref OS 1:25 584,574 (building name Helfa Fawr)
Please note typing the address into a SAT NAV will not work!!
Due to the remote location of the Lodge trying to find it can be slightly tricky. Please see below for instructions on how to find us.
Head for Llanberis and continue to the A4086. You are looking for the mini roundabout next to the Royal Victoria Hotel. Look for the exit onto Victoria terrace.
Continue all the way down to the end of Victoria Terrace where you will come to a cattle grid taking you up the start of the Llanberis path.
Follow this steep road up past the Caffi Pen y Ceunant on your left hand side.
Continue up the winding road, passing a large barn on your right. Continue up the road and under the large brick bridge which the Snowdon Mountain Railway passes over.
The entrance to track of the Lodge is approximately 150m after the brick bridge and turns off the road to the right. Please park your vehicles immediately after this turn on the land to the left.
From here you will be met by a member of the Crashpad Lodge team and your belongings will be taken down to the Lodge. If you have a 4 X 4 please feel free to park at the lodge, continue down the track closing all the gates on your way and follow the Countryside Code. You will need to pass over a river ford but this is manageable by most 4 X 4’s however crossing is upon the driver’s discretion. Please note we hold no responsibility for any damage that may be caused to your vehicle.
Please note There is ONLY parking for 4 none 4x4 vehicles within a quarter of a mile of the Lodge. Vehicles must not be parked around or in front of the cattle barn at the top of the track to the Lodge. The livestock will scratch and damage your vehicle. Access is needed at all time by the local farmer to the barn and should therefore not be obstructed.
