General Terms and Conditions

When you confirm your booking by the payment of a deposit you are entering into a short-term holiday letting contract between 'you', the holiday-maker, and the property owner, Mr J D Feilden. Please read the following conditions of let carefully.

When the holidaymaker completes the booking and makes a payment they are certifying that he/she takes full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the party adhere to these Terms and Conditions. The main holidaymaker must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be 18 years of age or over.

Private ‘family and friends’ holidaymaker cancellation policy

Corporate/event organizer booking payment policy

Bookings MUST be arranged and discussed with a Crashpad staff member before booking. This can either be done via email or a phone call. The contact with whom the booking is made and paid for is the primary contact and is responsible for all monies owed, full responsibility for the event, and the health and welfare of all guests.

All bookings MUST be paid in full at the time when the booking is made.

Corporate/event organizer cancellation policy

No refunds will be made if the booking is canceled or re-arranged.

Property owner cancellation policy

The property owner will endeavor to make sure the stated property is available for the dates contracted. In the unlikely event the property becomes unavailable and the property owner has to cancel the booking, we will notify the holiday maker as far in advance as possible. We will also endeavor to find the holidaymaker suitable alternative accommodation. If suitable alternative accommodation cannot be found, the holidaymaker shall be entitled to a full refund. The property owner shall only be liable to return the monies received. No compensation or consequential losses shall be paid.

Weather and conditions

Due to the mountainous location of Yr Helfa, all aspects of the weather must be considered in relation to the building and the booking made. Any weather factors that may cause discomfort during the guest's stay at Yr Helfa cannot be at fault by the owner. Any compensation for this case will not be covered by the owner.

Miscellaneous

Whilst every care is taken to provide a true and accurate description of the property, over time, alterations and improvements are made. The holidaymaker/event organizer accepts that no refunds are available for such discrepancies.

The mountainous location of Yr Helfa means the building is completely off-gird and self-sustained. This does mean that there may be a small aspect of maintenance and upkeep during the guest's stay but nothing that we feel would be too inconvenient.

Holidaymakers/event organizer obligations

There is a strict no-smoking policy inside the property. You must permit the owners reasonable access to carry out urgent maintenance. You must not sublet or share the property with anyone not nominated on the booking. The maximum number of persons to be accommodated in the property is 4 and must not be exceeded. If it is found that more people than agreed are using the property, this will be considered a breach of contract, and the holiday-maker/event organizer and his/her party will be asked to leave immediately without any refund. The property owner is entitled to ask the holiday-maker/event organizer to leave the property without any refund if, in the property owner's opinion, the behaviour of the holiday-maker/event organizer and/or his/her party is considered unreasonable. Please advise the owner of any damage/breakages immediately so they can be attended to/replaced for the next guests. In cases where damage has been more than accidental 'wear and tear', then a deduction will be made from the refund of the damage deposit.

Liability

The property owner takes no responsibility for the personal possessions of the holidaymaker/event organizer or their guests. Vehicles and possessions are left entirely at the risk of the holidaymakers/event organizers.

The property owner takes no responsibility for any personal accidents or injuries during the stay of the holidaymakers/event organizers. Children must be supervised at all times.

Safety and access

Please bear in mind that the property was built before the days of regulations governing door height, stairway head height, banister height, etc… We ask that you take due care as you will not be familiar with the layout of the accommodation. Random slate slab floors are not as uniformly even as modern flooring.

There are unfenced rivers and streams and old trees surrounding the property.

Access to Yr Helfa is via a single track which is uneven and only accessible by 4 x 4 vehicles. On your arrival you will be met by Mr J Feilden or a staff member who will advise if your vehicle is suitable.

One lift to the Lodge is given to transport belongings and another for departure which is included in your fee to and from the parking spot as noted below “Parking”. Any subsequent lifts can be arranged to and from Yr Helfa during the duration of your stay for a price of £30 per trip. Journeys are only to be made between the hours of 9am to 6pm.

Parking

All non-4 X 4 vehicles will be parked roughly 1km from Yr Helfa on off-road parking. We can park a maximum of 4 cars due to the land being in the National Park. For any more than 4 cars we suggest parking in the local village of Llanberis where there are paid parking facilities at £5/day. Vehicles are left at owner risk.

Arrival/departure times

Unless otherwise agreed the letting commences at 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and ends at 11.00 am on the day of departure. Check-ins after 6pm must be pre-arranged with the Crashpad team prior to the day of arrival.

Phone and wifi

Phone signal is limited on certain networks. Wifi is provided free of charge.

Linens

Full bed linens are provided. Tea towels, an oven glove, and hand towels are provided for the kitchen. Personal towels are not provided.

Complaints/suggestions

Please approach the property owners immediately if you are unhappy with any aspect of your stay so that a solution can be worked out as soon as possible. We will do our best to make your stay as enjoyable as we can and appreciate your input so that your next visit is even better.
