Then why not join us for The Welsh Escape, your personal adventure getaway, wellness escape, fitness retreat in a stunningly priceless location this July 22nd - July 25th at Crashpad Lodges.

Hosted by friend of Crashpad, Max Strength, a personal trainer who specialises in increasing your fitness and wellbeing in the great outdoors as well as leading boutique, group fitness classes in Brighton and Hove.


Max Strength travels around the UK holding one-off retreats that focuses not only on fitness but inviting people to get away from the everyday, have some fun, meet new people and return home with stories to tell and new friendships made.

Held at our beloved restored welsh farmhouse Yr Helfa at the foot or Snowdon, Crashpad Lodges is the business from which we provide high quality accommodation for those wishing to experience escapism and nature at it’s most finest. The grounds feature an outdoor BBQ, a fire pit with views for miles perfect for watching the rising and falling sunsets across the mountains and also it’s own babbling brook for those late evening summer dips.

Itinerary - Day 1


Arrive for 12 noon on July 22nd for check in and greet your fellow adventurers.

You will be driven off-road in jeeps to the remote location of ‘Crashpad Lodges’, beginning with a refreshing and revitalising river jump and stretch session for some post-travel correction.

Followed by a BBQ and Prosecco welcome evening.

Itinerary Day 2


Delicious continental breakfast or the option of make-your-own bircher museli with nutrient-dense ingredients provided to mix and match your preferences.

Group Outdoor Hit Class.

Drive (or optional jog) to Lake Padarn for paddle boarding around the picturesque lake, taking in the incredible scenery.

A waterside walk to an exhilarating bridge jump and our picnic location. Enjoy and refuel your body with locally sourced food and bubbly.

Afternoon wander through the local village and a visit to the renowned National Slate Museum for a real pocket of history.

Itinerary Day 3


The Snowdon Summit Hike

Breakfast (same as previous)

Optional morning river dip

Gather packed lunches and energy ball snacks ready for the hike.

Arrive back to the comfort at Crashpad Lodges with a post-hike stretch and recovery session, followed by a tasty BBQ, music, drinks and board games for the final evening.

Depart the following day before 11am.

What To Bring

Crashpad Lodges provides the bulk of our adventure needs, however we recommend that you ensure to bring:

  • Comfortable workout and walking gear.

  • Trainers and walking boots

  • A backpack and refillable water bottle

  • Cameras, fitness trackers and any snacks/essentials you want to carry with you.

  • Sunscreen and hat

  • Swimwear

  • Waterproofs
